Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

Say Hello, Wave Goodbye

We recall the day our Pool Table arrived in the studio – it was greeted by a series of whoops and hollers. The experienced hand (affectionally named Uncle Gepetto) that assembled the authentic American classic had barely exited the studio before there were two creative-types blowing chalk from the cue tips.

It's fair to say that the pool table was the centre of everything.  The Stepladder branded baize became a meeting point – playing pool, poring through proofs and even using it as a makeshift presentation platform. Someone even slept on it once – clearly getting confused between a 'late-bed' and a 'slate-bed'.

Throughout her stay with us, and in line with Stepladder's recent history, Mother Pool witnessed success, growth and rapid improvement. It's sad that with success often comes sacrifice, and due to our recent expansion we were forced to find her a new home. We decided to donate the pool table to Atlee Youth and Community Centre supported by Variety, the Children's Charity in response to the Variety Christmas toy appeal.

The Attlee Youth and Community centre is situated in the London borough of Tower Hamlets and has approx 200 members between the ages of 12–18 and we felt this would be a perfect home. We're now looking forward to challenge the kids at our own game!
